So...much...fun...
Jul. 16th, 2006 11:28 amOh, my god. Yesterday was awesome. I spent the entire day with some of the members of my staff. We hit Disneyland.
Yes, that's right. Disneyland. It was so great. Everything is new and different and changed and so much fun. We caught the new parade, the new Pirates, the new Space Mountain, the slightly changed Mansion, and that ridiculously fun Buzz Lightyear ride where you have to shoot things with lasers.
So great. I wasn't home 'till about 1:30 in the morning, and didn't get to bed until about 2:00. I came home to find my dad passed out on the floor in his room from waiting up for me.
Hanging out with my staff is so much fun. We got our faces painted and made ourselves sick numerous times on the Teacups. We rode the carousel and laughed at how unrealistic the horses were. We were generally stupid the whole time, singing camp songs under our breath and sympathizing with the cast who have to herd uncooperative people to other places.
It was damn hot, though. I think that if we hadn't been used to walking around in the heat, we all would have died. As it was, we all guzzled water and reapplied sunscreen in pretty much every line. You could tell we were all camp people by the fact that every single one of us was carrying extra water and sunscreen in our backpacks.
I also think it's entertaining that the only thing I walked out of Disneyland with was candy. I thought about buying one of those ear-hats that have the pirate bandanas and the fake hoop earring through the mouse ears and say "Pirate Princess", but I wasn't sure how much I needed for food, and by the time we got out of the park, everything was already closing. Whatever. I'm totally cool with candy.
Awesome day. I'm so stoked. And so tired. I didn't get up until about an hour ago. But totally worth it all. I need to hang out with my staff more often.
I'm out. Later.
