lady_flamewingThought I'd make a post, since I haven't done so in a while. Just a few key points:
1. Today was the Walt Disney High School Choral Festival. Lots of fun. I think it's saying something that I've been lucky enough to sing in Disney Concert Hall three times now, once on the actual stage.
The Festival's always a lot of fun. 900 high school students, all singing together. Plus, I love Grant Gershon. I think he's one of the most wonderful conductors in the entire world.
This year was really notable because we got to perform the world premiere of a piece of music commissioned especially for this Festival. So, I can now officially say I have performed the world premiere of the piece entitled "Tu Voz" in Walt Disney Concert Hall. Lots of fun. I'm really tired, though.
2. Got a concert coming up. It'll feature the songs we performed today, as well as some Broadway showcase pieces. It's bound to be a lot of fun, so if anyone's interested, feel free to come by and see it. It'll be May 12, at 7:30 pm, at my school. Email me for the address if you're interested, my email's in my userinfo.
I'd really like to see some people there, so if you're in the neighborhood, stop by for a bit. It should be a blast.
