Ah, yes. I am proudly bisexual and currently engaged in a serious relationship. My girlfriend and I have been seeing each other, let's see... 2 months on Wednesday.

Well, I mean, there's not a lot you can do in this situation except be glad that he had the courtesy to let you know.

If you can, try to stick by him. It's likely he'll need a lot of support from people who care about him.
